AWS - DevOps Engineering

Training objectives: Upon completion of the training, the participant will be able to implement AWS (Amazon Web Services) services and tools within a DevOps engineering framework.

• Use key DevOps methodology concepts and practices
• Design and implement an AWS infrastructure supporting one or more DevOps projects
• Use AWS CloudFormation and AWS OpsWorks to deploy infrastructure for development, testing, and production environments
• Use AWS CodeCommit and AWS CodeBuild to set up a continuous integration (CI) environment on AWS
• Use AWS CodePipeline to design and implement a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline on AWS
• Use AWS CodeStar to manage all software development activities in one place
• Implement common continuous deployment (CD) use cases using AWS technologies, including blue/green deployments and A/B testing
• Distinguish between different application deployment technologies available on AWS, including AWS CodeDeploy, AWS OpsWorks, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR), and select the most suitable for a given scenario
• Use Amazon EC2 Systems Manager for patch management
• Leverage automated testing at different stages of a CI/CD pipeline
• Optimize applications deployed on AWS for high performance and use AWS tools to monitor applications and environments for issues
