Training objective: enable participants to master the role and responsibilities of the Test Analyst throughout the software development lifecycle—by applying advanced functional testing techniques, risk-based testing principles, and defect prevention practices—in order to prepare for and obtain the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level — Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) v4.0 certification.

- Describe and apply the role of the Test Analyst in the various activities of the testing process
- Specify test cases, test data, test oracles, and test environments with the required quality level
- Contribute to product risk analysis and determine the scope of regression testing
- Select and apply test techniques based on data, behavior, rules, and experience
- Test functional and non-functional quality characteristics (usability, adaptability, interoperability)
- Apply defect prevention practices and contribute to phase containment
- Prepare for and pass the ISTQB® CTAL-TA v4.0 certification exam
