Description

This training provides hands-on experience in administering and configuring the ServiceNow platform. Participants will learn to navigate the interface, configure users and groups, manage table and field structures, create and administer a service catalog, and more. The training alternates between theoretical input, demonstrations, and practical exercises for a comprehensive learning experience.

Learning Objectives

  • Get to grips with the fundamentals of administering a ServiceNow instance, perform common configurations, and understand the change deployment cycle between instances
  • Navigate the ServiceNow interface and customize list and form views
  • Configure users, groups, roles, and access controls
  • Administer table and field structures, import data, and manage the CMDB
  • Create and administer a service catalog and associated elements
  • Create, test, and maintain simple flows in Flow Designer and configure notifications and SLAs
  • Build reports and dashboards, and manage change deployment between instances via Update Sets

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of IT service management
Familiarity with ITIL concepts is recommended
The free "Welcome to ServiceNow" module (approx. 3 hours, online via the ServiceNow portal) must be completed prior to the training
