Training objective: Upon completion of the training, the learner will be able to lead the design of the NSX-T Data Center, including design principles, processes, and frameworks. The participant will also gain an in-depth understanding of the NSX-T Data Center architecture and how it can be used to create solutions that meet customer business needs.

Apply a design process to gather requirements, constraints, availability assumptions, and risks
Design a VMware vSphere virtual data center to meet NSX-T data center requirements
Design a physical network to support network virtualization in a software-defined data center
Design logical security services
Analyze alternative design choices for risk reduction
Design a data center rack solution to support scalability and high availability
Analyze an organization’s operational readiness and skill gaps
Perform an analysis of existing physical security and networking components, processes, and operations
Understand the design and support of the NSX-T data center infrastructure in a multi-data center infrastructure

Prerequisites

Completion of the "VMware NSX-T Data Center - Installation, Configuration & Administration" training or equivalent knowledge

Understanding or knowledge of TCP/IP services and protocols, as well as professional experience in computer networks, including switching and routing technologies (L2-L3), network and application delivery services (L4-L7)

Knowledge of VMware vSphere® environments and KVM-based environments
