Participants will gain the skills to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot failover clusters, availability groups, and disaster recovery strategies in production environments.

- Cluster-aware updating and storage solutions
- Lab: Explore HA features and validate prerequisites in Windows Server 2019

- Failover Cluster Instances (FCI)
- Availability Groups (AG)
- Log Shipping: capabilities and limitations
- Lab: Compare and configure three HA methods in test environments

Module 4 – Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC)
- WSFC installation and configuration
- Quorum models and witness types
- Storage configuration and validation
- Maintenance, patching, and upgrading strategies
- Adding and removing cluster nodes
- Cluster monitoring and logging
- Lab: Build a two-node Windows Server cluster and test failover

- Read-only routing and load balancing
- Direct seeding and distributed availability groups
- Adding/removing databases and files from AGs
- AG backup and restore strategies

- Monitoring and troubleshooting AG
- Lab: Create and manage an Always On Availability Group with multiple replicas

- HA integration with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Considerations for Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS)
